The world is filled with women making a difference and changing the world for the better. Many of them do extraordinary things that go unnoticed by some of the people that need them the most.
I would like to change that in whatever small way I can and bring them to you front and center. I created this blog with the intention to inspire you to dig deep and go to the next level. The women featured in this blog are all accessible to us and ready to inspire change and growth within us.
So welcome to the first of many of my blogs of Badass Women.
Angelica Johnson-Dávila
Angelica is a former history teacher with a legal background. She married her husband, Cedric in 2017 and since then supported his idea of starting a plumbing company and left her teaching career to get behind him and take over the admin side of the business. A fun fact about her is she speaks 4 languages fluently. Although she loves teaching and traveling, she loves her family even more, and is so happy that she made the decision to build this company with her husband and give our community a new look to the plumbing trade and experience quality service with our excellent AHPD team.
Angelica is also an Author of ‘Prevail: Destroy Limits, Create Opportunities’ a serial Entrepreneur and REBT Psychotherapist and has created an active and engaged Instagram community.
What I admire about Angelica is her resourcefulness. Her talents expand from author to Instagram rockstar to multifaceted entrepreneurship. But my favorite thing about her is her innate gift of putting others in the spotlight.
PATTY FARMER
Patty Farmer is an award-winning Marketing & Media Strategist, International Speaker, Podcast Host, Magazine Publisher, and 7- Figure Event Producer. As a global influencer and thought leader, she works with women CEO’s, entrepreneurs and speakers who are experts in their field to help them fully identify their expertise, attract (and convert) their ideal buyers, gain massive visibility, package their knowledge, and position them in the marketplace to increase sales, leverage the media and create marketing strategies that are profitable…not painful.
Her mission is to help her clients scale their business in a way that creates transformation for both them and their clients, to make a big impact in the world, and bigger deposits in their bank account while designing a lifestyle they want to live.
What I admire about Patty is she is not a cookie cutter marketing strategist and business coach. Patty drills down to what makes her clients tick, she tries to think like they do. In doing this, she gets to the heart of the client and from there she starts to build the client outward thus expanding their business with out of the box ideas that are not only exciting but effective.
Nathalie Gregg
Nathalie Gregg is a Change Agent, Enterprise Business Strategist, Adjunct Professor, Public Speaker, Published Writer, and Television Personality who empowers, teaches, and mentors the next generation of leaders. She is a graduate of Columbia College and the Kenan-Flagler Business School of UNC Chapel Hill’s Executive Management Program. Gregg is also the recipient of Columbia College’s distinguished President’s Award and the prestigious ATHENA Award.
She has participated on several executive boards including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Columbia, and South Carolina Association of Community Development Corporations.
What I admire about Nathalie is that she builds the youth into leaders. She does this by cultivating women’s voices who have yet to be heard and inspires women to become an economic engine that drives results, helping women get more time, money, freedom, and power. Her motto is: Be Bold, Be Confident and Be Fearless.

Charmaine Hammond, MA, BA, RSW
Charmaine Hammond, MA, BA, RSW, is a transformational speaker, radio host, and best-selling award-winning author of 5 books. She is the President of Hammond International Inc. and Hammond Global Inc. Charmaine’s work has impacted leaders, teams, and organizations across the globe in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, USA and Canada.
Charmaine is also the co-founder of Raise a Dream to share knowledge and expertise in Collaboration, Partnership, and Sponsorship to form an even more comprehensive and collaborative group of professionals to help you “Raise your Dream”.
What I admire about Charmaine is her philosophy and training building team excellence through Team Charter, a personalized road map of specific team agreements and processes such as the team missions statement, goals and team direction and communication norms, measuring success to team conflict management.
ALECIA HUCK
Alecia Huck is a business consultant who specializes in helping fast-growing companies fix profitability, productivity, culture, and quality problems caused by growth. Her clients are the kind of entrepreneurs who don't want to ever "go corporate." She helps them fix what isn't working AND protect what makes them special. Alecia believes you don't have to figure it out alone. You don't have to lay awake at night wishing you knew how to fix things. She helps go from being stressed out and scared to confident and excited again so you and your team can get to get back to building the company you always wanted to become.
What I admire about Alecia is that she uses her expertise in human behavior to drill down to not only what is not working but why it isn’t working, she then builds strategic plans to get your leadership team from ego-based to a high functioning team.
MICHELLE TENNANT
Michelle Tennant is an International Publicist and calls herself a “Storyteller to the Media”. As co-owner, Chief Creative Officer, and Executive Publicist of Wasabi Publicity Inc., she represents global nonprofits, causes, and people who make a difference.
She specializes in engaging media and breaking news to secure top placements for her clients. Every day, she spins news stories with notables like The Wall Street Journal, Good Morning America, NPR, Ladies Home Journal, Time Magazine, Forbes, TODAY, Fox & Friends, Entrepreneur, Associated Press, and many other top media venues.
What I admire about Michelle is she uses her storytelling to influence the media to focus on uplifting stories of everyday people making a difference in the world. I feel we are kindred spirits because I too aspire to run my business from anywhere and everywhere so I can travel the world and enjoy the “little things.”
HEIDI PARR KERNER
Heidi is a Speaker, Coach and Licensed Psychotherapist, networking queen and founder of the Coffee Club Divas, a professional women’s networking group based in Erie, PA.
Heidi Kerner has positioned herself as a leader in the arena of Women’s Empowerment, Business Networking, Motivational Speaking, Sales Training, and Transformational Change. Her coast-to-coast career spans 25+ years and includes roles as a psychoanalyst, group facilitator, certified seminar leader, radio host, actress/producer, marketing consultant, author, and keynote speaker.
She provides Step by step guidance to assist others out of their comfort zone and live boldly and confidently in their business and personal lives.
Her clients include Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, non-profits, universities, hospitals, and professional associations. As a seasoned business owner and marketing consultant, she is especially passionate about mentoring women entrepreneurs and professionals.
What I admire about Heidi is her passion for helping businesses women on many different levels. She has worked hard to build an environment where businesswomen support each other as she nurtures and molds them into elite networking influencers.
In closing, as a business mentor for women as well as the Founder and President of 3 multi-generational women-owned minority businesses known as “The Ream Companies” I love and choose to surround myself with amazing “badass” women and am honored to share them with you.
